Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall are the members of a duo electronic pop music group. They formed in 2012, and started creating music. They didn’t breakout until the years of 2013 – 2014, but it didn’t take them long to do so. They started playing in several shows in 2013 and released their first song “Selfie” in 2014. Selfie quickly became known around the world and hit the top 20 on the music charts. Not long after that the chainsmokers released their hit “Don’t let me down” in 2015, and that song was the first to make the top 10 of the music charts, and it also landed them a Grammy. In 2016, they released one of their biggest hits yet called “Closer“ which was their first song to make it to number one on the music charts, and it stayed at number one for weeks. In 2017, they released “Paris” and “Something just like this” which also hit the top of the music charts. Shortly after the new Year in 2018, they released another hit song called “Sick Boy.” This new album they took a chance at bringing something new to the table. The new album featured a darker theme and focused on the issues of this generation.
But before the group had become famous, Andrew and Alex were both just two men with a dream. They both had a love and passion for music and djing. Alex was a dj on the die and Andrew was in college, but planned on pursuing music after graduation. Andrew got the news that the chainsmokers needed a second member, so he headed from Maine to New York to meet Alex. They began making music quickly and it didn’t take them long to become a music sensation!
