With the Obama administration’s release of what have become known, unfortunately, as the “torture memos” the conversation on the topic is skewed from the beginning. Torture memos? Why not “interrogation memos?” or “legal opinions on the treatment of terrorists?” The “torture memo” tag casts the verdict on the subject without debating it.

Racism on Parade
Kudos to the Obama administration for its hesitancy to get involved in the World Conference Against Racism next week in Geneva. The United Nations has been working on next week’s conference for three years. The Washington Post reported:
