How Ryan Seacrest Got To The Top Of The Entertainment World

Ryan Seacrest has been sitting on top of the reality television and radio worlds for the past several years, but he hasn’t always been there. Before being named co-host of Live with Kelly and Ryan alongside Kelly Ripa, the entertainment mogul has held some different positions across both television and radio; he’s also helped to launched a production juggernaut and had his hand in a few philanthropic causes over the years.

In radio, Mr. Seacrest is best known for presenting On Air with Ryan Seacrest for iHeart Media’s 102.7 KIIS-FM. The LA-based morning drive-time show has been nationally syndicated for several years, and the host has been listened to by millions of Americans on an almost daily basis. In television, he’s also been known as the executive producer of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, where he also co-hosts. But that doesn’t mean that Ryan Seacrest has only ever been in front of the microphone or camera; in contrast, he’s widely known in the industry for heading Ryan Seacrest Productions which he founded in 2006.

In the almost decade and a half since the production company was founded, it’s had multiple Emmy nominations and managed to win several of them. Some of the more notable shows that the production company has been behind include the likes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and its several spin-offs. The company has also helped produce E! Live from the Red Carpet and I Love Kellie Pickler. It was also behind an NBC procedural called Shades of Blue which boasted Jennifer Lopez as its main cast. In terms of Emmy wins, it also produced the food show Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.

Ryan Seacrest has also shown off his philanthropic side with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. The foundation has started some broadcast media centers in pediatric hospitals across the United States. These studios have a few entertainment and education-focused initiatives that are focused on providing sick children with an insight into the world of radio and television. The ultimate goal of the media centers is not only to entertain these children while they’re in hospital but to help inspire them to consider a career in the media industry.
