JD.com also known as Jingdong, is a large retail company in China that sells and ships numerous amounts of products like electronics, apparel and home furnishings, fresh food, home appliances, and many more products for local and international brands globally.
Jingdong collaborated with three well-known companies such as Hasbro who is well known for selling toys, Paramount pictures that create and film movies and global play who sells playground equipment to celebrate the release of Transformers movie Bumblebee that was released on January 4, 2019.
The Movie Bumblebee tells the story of how he was hiding from his enemies in a junkyard as an old yellow Volkswagon, a young high school girl, who is turning 18 finds him covered up. She takes him home to work on him and realized that this old yellow car is not exactly what she thought it would be but something better.
In 2017, JD.com received the spotlight in becoming a part of the Transformers as the character called the Red Knight Transformer. JD (Red Knight) joined forces with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in a three-part micro animation film called Mission Red 5.
It is JD.com’s mission to join forces with Optimus and Bumblebee to help fight to protect the distribution center that contains major products like Panasonic, Hasbro and HLA’s products and it seems as though they are protecting a secret purple formula from being ambushed by Autobots and Decepticons. JD.com not only was able to make a micro animation film that you can find on youtube.com but also Jingdong has its own transformer action figure that was released on December 29, 2018, and are available to purchase on JD.com’s website. JD.com did a huge sales promotion of “Super Bumblebee Day” before the release of the Bumblebee movie.
There were more than 300 million customers worldwide that purchased from those well-known companies like Hasbro, Panasonic, HLA just to name a few and JD with its big e-commerce platform, they were able to accommodate the delivery and shipment of the Transformers movie-themed merchandise worldwide.
